For example, replacing a handlebar is often a test of patience due to the individually specified position of the original fittings; the exact positioning of the hole for the locking pins of the fittings must be done without a “precise” aid, often only with a simple measuring tape. The correct position must be marked, roughended and drilled. In addition, the drilling process is often characterized by slipping over the handlebar rounding and an unintentionally displaced or crooked hole.
Our drilling jig called 'gofer' offers a remedy: thanks to the hinged joint, this drilling aid can be easily used in any position, especially with already mounted grips. A quick-release thread enables the drilling template to be clamped with half a turn of the screw. A stop marks the centre of the hole so that the hole can be precisely defined in the same way as the original handlebar.
The hardened collar drill bush provides secure guidance for a drill with a diameter of up to 5 mm and is designed for handlebar types with different diameters. This benefits not only professional workshops but also the hobby mechanics.
